Building Work

Phase One finished, Phase two almost ready.

Our building work is really developing and we are watching it really carefully.  Some children have been helping the builders and 'inspecting' the work they have been doing.

We are really pleased with our Phase 1 and look forward to seeing our Phase 2 building.

Our ICT arrangements have been finailsed and we believe that our ideas will attract a great deal of interest as well as being really innovative.  It will be based around Apple computers and involve the children in working on iPads, and iPods.  We will also have a very large 'Learning Wall' at the front of the classroom. Watch out for details on our school blog.

Flakefleet Primary School is a GOOD school -who says so?  -OFSTED and more importantly - our parents.

Following on from our inspection at the end of last term the inspection report is available on our school website.  We were really pleased with the outcomes of the inspection and the inspectors were very complimentary. Comments such as

- Pupils' behaviour throughout the school is good both indoors and out; they have positive attitudes and enjoy learning

- By the time pupils leave school they are active learners and confident young citizens, keen to play their part in the community.

- Pupils say they enjoy lessons because teachers make them fun.

- Enjoyment and good progress in lessons was frequently seen during the inspection.

- The school's curriculum has many strengths. The use of ICT is particularly strong, with a wide range of good quality resources that are used imaginatively.

- Pupils' progress is good because teaching is good and sometimes it is outstanding.

- Team work is strong; it is the dedicated work of all the whole school staff that is an important factor in the school's good capacity to improve.
